Our Farm
Our Farm at McIvor Hill
At McIvor Hill, we take pride in grass-fed farming and providing true traceability - we can tell you exactly which animals your jersey comes from each season. By carrying out every step of production right here in New Zealand, we maintain quality control and stay closely connected to the land. Our goal is simple: make warm, long-lasting garments that respect both our animals and the environment we share.
Looking After Our Lambs
Our family-run farm in Southland is home to rolling green hills, fresh air, and open paddocks where our animals roams freely. It’s a hands-on approach that brings our family closer to the land and our animals - and it’s all part of the warmth we pass on to you in every McIvor Hill jersey.
Thoughtful Wool Production
Once we shear our lambs, the wool is carefully sorted and sent to a local mill that share our values of community and care. We work in small batches, focusing on the quality of each fibre rather than rushing the process. This helps us maintain the high standard we set for every McIvor Hill piece. Knowing who’s involved at every stage gives us confidence that each jersey truly reflects the spirit of our farm and our region.
Our Steps Forward
We’re always looking to do better - whether it’s exploring more eco-friendly packaging or fine-tuning our traceability. Each improvement helps us create a more responsible path for farm-to-wardrobe wool. By choosing McIvor Hill, you’re supporting a family who believes in the beauty of Southland and wants to keep it thriving for future generations.
